It all started with Zachary “Zack” Thompson, a young plumber with a passion for fixing things and a dream of running his own business. In the early 1990s, Zack moved to Edmonton with little more than his trusty wrench and an old pickup truck. He began taking on small jobs—fixing leaky faucets, unclogging drains, and repairing water heaters—often working late into the night to make sure his customers were satisfied.

Zack’s dedication to doing things right quickly earned him a loyal customer base. People appreciated his honest approach, fair prices, and the way he treated every job, big or small, with the same level of care. As word spread about the quality of his work, Zack found himself getting busier and busier. He knew he couldn’t keep up with the growing demand on his own, so he took the leap and hired his first apprentice.

Over the years, Z Best Plumbing and Heating grew steadily. Zack brought on more skilled plumbers, each one carefully selected for their expertise and shared commitment to quality. Today, our team consists of 8 full-time plumbers, all trained to uphold the same high standards that Zack set all those years ago. We also have a fantastic office staff of five who ensure that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, from scheduling appointments to managing customer inquiries.
