How to Create Your realtor pro Profile

To the right you will see buttons to show you examples of what you Pro Profile will look like when completed as well what you search card looks like when people are doing searches for companies like yours. You will also find an accordion explaining what all the different fields are on the Pro Profile form and where they go on your Pro Profile on the front end. If you haven’t already seen the video on how to set up your pro profile, we encourage you to do so. This is located on the pro profile page on the help bar. This short video will help make your setup process much faster and easier.

Getting Started
Your Pro Profile is what people will see on the front end of Home to Castle when they are doing a search in the Pick a Pro section. Please use this help page as a guide for creating your Pro Profile. Most of the fields are self explanatory, but some may require a bit more explaining to fully understand them. By reading this guide and clicking on the buttons above to view the different images we’ve provided, you will have your Pro Profile up and running in short order.
Form Fields Explained
1. Profile Name – Please enter a name for your profile. This is not seen on the front end and is there for storing your profile in the back end of Home to Castle. This can be your company name, your name or a combination of both or whatever else you would like to name it.
2. Company Name – Please put in your company name here. This will be displayed in your pro profile as well as when people are doing searches in the Pick a pro section. To see examples of this, please click on the buttons above labeled Pro Profile Example and Search Card Example.
3. Slogan – (Optional) If your header image does not have a slogan and you would like one, you can put in a slogan for your company in this field. This will display on your header image on your Pro Profile. You have room for ninety characters or less. To See an Example of this, please click on the button labeled Pro Profile Example.
4. Company Description Title – Please put the title of your company description here. Examples might be, About Us, What We Do, About Me, About (Company Name or Your Name) and so on. This is located just below your header image. To see where this is located, please click on the Pro Profile example at the top of this help sidebar.
5. Company Description – In this section please give a detailed description of your company and what you have to offer.
6. Excerpt – This is displayed on your Search Card. If you would like to know what that looks like, please click on the button above this help text labeled “Search Card Example.” The easiest way to do this is to select text from your company description and pasting it into the excerpt field. You have a limit of eighty characters. This field will automatically cut anything off at eighty characters that is pasted in here. Three periods will follow the text letting people know to read further by clicking either on the image or the text saying, “Find Out More” on your Search Card.
7. Display Address – This is the address that is at the top of your post and right below your company name in your Pro Profile. Please put in your address and then city like the following: 12146 180 Street (or name of ave or street) a comma and then the town or city (12146 180 street, Edmonton)
8. Main Header Image – This image completely stretches from left to right and is situated below your company name and address and on this image (if you so choose) is your slogan. To see where your header image is located, just click on the button labeled Pro profile example at the top of this help sidebar.
9. Search Card Header Image – this image is the one that sits at the top of your Search card. To see what this looks like, please click on the button located above this help text titled “Search Card Example.”
10. Address Prefix – The next six fields are for mapping and searching purposes. The address prefix would be the start of your address: 12147, 201 371 and so on.
11. Street/Avenue Number or Name – This is the street and avenue number or name of your business location
12. City/Town – The City or town your business is located in.
13. Quadrant – If applicable, please select the quadrant of your company.
14. Selected Service Area – Please select the service area that you would like to be in. We currently have 12 service areas in the Edmonton and surrounding area. Only one of every pro type is allowed in any area. Please click on the Service Area Map button at the top to see all of the different territories. Anything that has the same colour is included in that service area. For example, West Edmonton, Spruce Grove and Stony Plain are all part of the same service area.
15. Alternative Service Area One, Two and Three – Please select a minimum of two alternative service areas in case someone else of your business type has already chosen your number one choice of your service area. The third selection is optional.
16. Expert Type – Please select your expert type here. If you can’t find your expert type in this list, please select other and go to the other field, which is to the right of this field, and type in your expert type. We will then create this for you.
17. Other – If your expert type is not among the list that has been provided, please enter it here.
18. Work by Us Title (Important) – This field is here If you are ready to create a work gallery and upload images of any work you’ve done. if you have any images that can be put into a gallery, please enter a title here. When you enter a title here, it will be put on your Pro Profile on the front end along with the Work Gallery Accordione. We encourage you to leave this blank until you have work galleries ready to create This will ensure you don’t have a title along with an empty accordion when people click on it. To see an example of Both a Pro Profile with and without a work Gallery, please click on the example buttons above this help text.
It is worth mentioning here that the Reviews section is something that will always be on your profile so members who have hired you can leave reviews. We encourage you to ask as many former clients as you can to sign up and leave a review for you. We also recommend that you encourage as many of your family, friends and former and current clients to share your profile in social media with the share buttons on the bottom of your profile.
19. Contact Us – On the right hand side of your expert profile, you will find a contact form. This form is there for your potential future clients to send you messages. Here you can create the title of this form which is more suited for your business. Examples would be “Get a Quote” or “Get a Free Estimate” and so on.
20. Hours and Days of Operation – In this section you will find fields for the opening and closing times of your business for each day of the week. If you are closed on any particular day or days, please put closed in both the opening and closing fields of that day or days.
21. Notes on Hours of Operation – If you would like to leave more details on your operating hours, like 24 hour emergency service and so on, please put that here.
22. Logo Badge – If you would like to upload your logo, please do so here. We would be more than happy to design one for you. To get started, can email us your logo at ronald@hometocastle.com or call us at 780-756-1120 and we can go from there.
23. Contact Information – Please provide your contact information here. This will be displayed on your Pro Profile In the Pick a Pro section of Home to Castle.
24 Help Sidebar – As you see on this page, Here is the help sidebar for the Pro Profile setup. with both the video help and the help page (the one you’re on right now :-). You will also find links to free online image editing tools as well as two links highlighted in blue to two google searches for image compression and image cropping. I have also included a quick video on how to use the editor in this site for cropping any of the images that you’ve uploaded yourself. Just click on the text that Says “CLICK HERE” to view it.
25. Service Area Map Button – This map will show you all of the service areas covered by Home to Castle. Currently there are 12. We recommend that you take a look at it before making your service area selection and alternative selections. Everything included in a service area will be in the same colour. For example service area 4 includes West Edmonton, Spruce Grove and Stony Plain.
26. Pro Profile Example – This is an example what your Pro Profile will look like once it has been approved.
27. Search Card Example – Here you can view what the Search cared and its different components like its header and so on.
28. Search Page Example – Here you can view what the search page looks like when people are searching for a pro in the Pick a Pro Section of Home to Castle. You’ll also see where search cards are situated in the search grid.
29 – Suggestions – Please feel free to leave us a suggestion in our suggestion form. We will take a look at every one of them and based upon how many suggestions we get on a particular option, we will begin to implement that into our website.
There are three areas that you can upload an image and two of them are required and those are your Main Header Image and your Search Card Image. The Logo Badge Image is optional.
Main Header Image – Your main header images sits at the top of your profile underneath your company name and address. Please use the dimensions of 1920 x 850 pixels for your Main Header Image.

Search Card Header Image – This is the image that you find on the top of your of your search card as you see below and the dimensions should be 500 x 300 pixels.

Logo Badge – Your logo badge sits on the top of your right hand side bar. To see an example of this please click on the button labeled Pro Profile Example. This is not a required image, but it is there to add to your branding. We have several dimensions that you can use and they are as follows:
